2007 Season - Week 2
BUMS mainframe malfunction
There was a computer disaster earlier in the week when the BUMS laptop suffered a catastrophic Windows launch failure. We hope to save the data on board but for now the historical details are lost in the laptop. It could be a long fortnight for the Chief if he has to start creating the BUMS history again.
Hall of Fame
Marcus has been in the BUMS for 10 seasons and has never been in the Hall of Fame, Mark H has been in the BUMS for 2 weeks and he is now a member of the Hall of Fame after his team put up 55 points. (For Mark’s info – and Marcus’ - an owner gets a Hall of Fame spot if his team put up half a hundred in a single week). Cadillac Williams, Andre Johnson and Braylon Edwards all scored 2 touchdowns. Drew Brees threw 1, Vinatieri scored 10 points and Detroit are 2-0! As a result Yellows moved from fourth to the top of the table.
Most surprising
Just a simple question for you to mull over, what’s the most surprising thing so far this season, the Lions 2-0, Houston 2-0, Green Bay 2-0, The Saints 0-2, Cleveland scoring 51 over Cincinnati, Vince Young has more rushing yards than LaDainian Tomlinson after 2 weeks or the fact that Bill Belli-cheat was not suspended for his camera work.
Any thoughts on the biggest surprise so far, you know everyone’s email address.
BUMS on Wembley Seats
The final tickets for the Dolphins/Giants game at Wembley went on sale last week and Chief managed to nab 4. So this is who I believe has tickets, Coopers x 4, David Stamp x 2, Mark Bowden x 1 and Andy H x 2. David has kindly offered fellow Miami fan Johnny Bowden his second ticket so we have 1 spare. Anyone else who wants to go should let me know asap. George has some but they are allocated to his friends. We are planning to meet at Johnny’s in Harrow so we can all head down to Wembley on the train together.
BUMS on Seats
We will be at Johnny’s from 6pm on Sunday evening to see an AFC East game as Miami travel to NY to play the Jets followed by an NFC East match-up as Washington host NY Giants. The red button games are a match-up of the unbeatens as San Francisco visit Pittsburgh followed by Jacksonville at Denver. Let him know if you can make it.
